Apprenticeship positions

Good employment prospects

We would be happy to arrange an individual internship for you. This will allow you to get to know our company, production processes and apprentices for yourself. You’ll get hands-on experience and the chance to familiarise yourself with the work involved in the various career paths.
Interested in new challenges with prospects? Then take your future into your own hands and apply for one of our apprenticeships.
Some jobs demand real precision. This is certainly the case when you work as a precision machinist. When the highest level of precision in tool and mechanical engineering is required – this is where you come in. You are also responsible for the production of a variety of components and modules using a range of different materials. You use the latest computer-controlled machines and also have the chance to demonstrate your own manual skills. No two days are ever the same: in the workshop you plan, manage and improve production processes. Furthermore you are responsible for checking and assessing your own work to ensure the highest standard of product quality.
Apart from having a knowledge of mathematics, engineering and general science, you need a steady hand to be able to measure, test and manufacture the various component parts. Of course you also enjoy working with computers, because with computer numerical control (CNC), you are responsible for programming and machine setting, directly entering commands into the machine control panel. You also have to be able to interrupt running programs to make necessary adjustments or corrections.
As a machine and plant operator, you are responsible for monitoring the production of a wide variety of products and parts. You know exactly how to operate computer-controlled machines and production systems. You are also in charge of keeping machines fed with new material and checking the results. If there’s a hitch, you perform troubleshooting and replace wearing parts such as tools, filters, seals and hoses. Equipment maintenance is also part of your area of responsibility. These machines need operating fluids such as oil, coolant and lubricant – rather like a car.
When a trade business is operating at full capacity, the important work that takes place in the office must not be neglected. While foremen and technicians are taking care of technical matters, you as an office assistant look after the in-house processes and handle administration in various areas. Your duties are very varied: from order handling and schedule monitoring through to accounting and material purchasing. Facts and figures on the current status of orders and projects have to be available at all times: income, expenditure, production costs, payroll. As an office assistant you need to be familiar with current office organisation, communication and management systems. Your colleagues and managers rely on you. As part of your work you help to manage letter and email correspondence.
Without a doubt, given the range of duties and tasks you are responsible for, no two days are the same. We are looking for a colleague who can work well both independently and as part of a team, showing initiative where required. If you are interested in commerce and have a talent for organisation, then you are an ideal candidate for our office assistant apprenticeship.
